Heat rises and in an uninsulated home 25% of heat is lost through the roof. Loft insulation is very effective and pays for itself over and over again.

By insulating a typical uninsulated loft you will save around £180 per year on energy bills and reduce your CO2 emissions by 730kg/year (Energy Saving Trust figures, November 2013) It's important to ensure that all pipes and tanks that carry water in the loft space are insulated at the same time and that water tanks have close fitting and insulated lids.

Typically, 25% of the total heat lost from your home escapes through an uninsulated loft. Network Energy can substantially reduce this by insulating your loft to current standards and in line with current best practice. We start by filing in the gaps between the ceiling joists then covering them with another layer of insulation, this ensures that there will be no cold spots.

All pipes or tanks that contain water will be insulated, ensuring that they will be able to resist freezing temperatures. We even insulate and draught-proof the loft hatch, if we can.
