If your home was built after 1920, there's a good chance that its external walls are made of two layers with a gap or cavity between them. Cavity Wall Insulation that gap.
It doesn't matter if you live in a 3 storey house, have normal or narrow (<50mm) cavities or need remedial works before insulating, Network Energy has a solution for you.
Typically 35% of heat lost from a house escapes through uninsulated cavity walls. This can be reduced to around 10% by having cavity wall insulation installed.
On average you will save around £140 per year on energy bills and reduce your CO2 emmisions by 560kg/year (Energy Saving Trust figures, November 2013)
By insulating your cavity walls it will not only keep the warmth in to save energy, but it can also help reduce condensation inside the house if this is a problem on your external walls.
To insulate your cavity walls, our installation team will drill small holes around 22mm in size at regular intervals (around 1m) in the outside wall of your home. Using specially designed equipment, they then blow insulation into the cavity. Once all the insulation is in, our team fills the holes in the brickwork so you'll barely notice them.
Cavity wall insulation can be made out of three types of materials:
mineral wool
beads or granules
foamed insolent
All three are manufactured according to British standards. Foam Insulation systems should be certified by the British Board of Agreement and installed according to strict guidance laid out in the associated BBA Certificates.
All Network Energy cavity wall insulation installations come with the Kinnell ECO. Kinnell EPC provides independent 25 year guarantees for Cavity Wall Insulation fitted by registered installers in the UK and Channel islands. The standard Guarantee covers a traditionally constructed residential property.
Network Energy will always survey a house before we insulate it. The no obligation survey and quotation is free and we will maximise any available funding support to ensure that any charges are kept as low as possible. In most of the cases, there will be no charge for the work.
Network Energy takes between 2 and 4 hrs to fully insulate a typical Cavity Wall property.
