A certified Green Deal Advice Organisation is the body that provides independent Green Deal advice through the means of the Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR) for the effective delivery of the prescribed Green Deal Standards. The advice dictates the suitability of the household for the installation of Green Deal measures.
Network Energy is an independent energy efficiency and renewable energy consultancy. We advise householders, businesses, and public sector organisations on ways to reduce energy consumption in light of ever increasing gas and electricity prices and help to reduce their carbon footprint. We are one of the first organisations to be accredited and certified as a Green Deal Advisory Organisation (“GDAO”) and are able to offer an advice service for Green Deal.
Our team of experts can provide comprehensive advice on improving the energy efficiency of your property, generating energy from renewable sources, and ensuring compliance with relevant energy efficiency legislation. Our role is to ensure that you understand and are able to take advantage of the financial incentive and Government grants that may be available such as the Green Deal, Energy Company Obligation (“ECO”), Renewable Heat Incentive (“RHI”), and Feed in Tariffs.
Green Assessors will visit your home, talk to you about your property and your energy use and help decide if you could benefit from Green Deal improvements. To ensure we have provided an accurate assessment, we may ask:
How many people live in your home
The types of appliances and heating used
How often the heating system is used
If you have any current energy-saving measures installed
When you book your assessment you may be asked if there are any accessibility issues, like access to your loft, and whether you can provide bills showing your recent energy use
Whether you own or rent the property
Whether your home is a listed building, in a conservation area, built before 1900 or constructed in a non-traditional way
Green Assessors will recommend improvements and indicate whether they are expected to pay for themselves through reduced energy costs
The actual savings will depend on how much energy you use and the future costs of energy
